Job Description

An excellent opportunity has become available to join an international recruitment business as their Global Operations Director. This is an award-winning business that has grown organically and developed an excellent reputation over the past 10+ years. Reporting into the CEO, this role plays a pivotal part in helping scale the business effectively, having achieved record growth in recent years, to invest further in its international footprint and requires a strong and experienced leader to help the firm develop the right infrastructure to meet those ambitions.

This position will oversee all functions that support and drive sales (Marketing, HR & Training, IT, Legal & Compliance) covering 20-25 heads in total, as a Director within the business this role will have full ownership & responsibility for all personnel and outputs achieved, with full autonomy to build an efficient global strategy to spearhead the international growth of the business. The aim of this role is to make sure all personnel and processes are being developed and are as efficient as possible and to ensure suitable infrastructure exists to continue upon their current growth trajectory. My client has a strong emphasis on the systems and processes supporting the sales function and naturally the ability to execute quickly on projects is integrally important, however, just as important is that this is done in the right way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the global operational strategy across their offices in the UK, US and Europe.
  • Line management of all staff within all non-sales, non-finance functions, responsibility to hire, develop and manage performance within these functions.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business’ technical and operational infrastructure with the ability to refine existing processes and introduce new processes and systems as required, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Budget management and control across all functions, reporting to the board on a monthly basis
  • Defining change agenda across the business and supporting the development of new propositions, ensuring that the business infrastructure is appropriately supported throughout

Personal profile

  • It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of an operational leadership role in a recruitment or executive search business.
  • Exposure to working at board level with the ability to deliver an agenda for senior management.
  • Well rounded project management skills, strong stakeholder management.
  • Positive attitude and mindset.
  • Proven leadership experience within a recruitment business.
