Job Description:

Our client is a global professional services firm who work within the IT & Technology markets. The Group is currently undergoing a range of projects including corporate simplification, full transfer pricing review, replacing the Group finance systems and a general transformation of the Group finance processes and management information.

The Role

The interim Group Financial Accountant has responsibility for the monthly Group consolidation, preparation of annual and half year reports. The role provides technical advice and guidance and supports the Finance function in process improvement, management reporting and other ad hoc projects. The role also includes many opportunities to be involved in aspects of the Group’s transformation.

Responsibilities will include:

Financial reporting:

  • Preparation of a multi-currency Group consolidation

  • Preparation of transfer pricing calculations and recharges

  • Key point with external auditors

  • Responsibility for audit filings and reporting

Group Transformation:

  • Redesign and streamline consolidation processes

  • Support on transformation projects and acquisitions

  • Continuously improve internal processes and systems

Month end reporting:

  • Partner with local finance teams across Europe, USA and Asia to submit results

  • Recommend and make improvements to reporting packs

  • Preparation of monthly consolidation and completeness checks

  • Preparation and analysis of balance sheet and the cash flow statement

  • Intercompany balance checks and compliance reviews

Other responsibilities:

  • Manage insurance policies & renewals alongside other senior finance team

  • Ad hoc internal audit work with Group subsidiaries and functions

  • Ad hoc projects supporting the Board and its sub committees

Key requirements for the role:

  • Qualified accountant

  • Industry experience in a multi-currency group consolidation environment

  • Good IFRS technical knowledge

  • Excellent communication, analytical and report writing skills

  • Strong work ethic, organisational skills and attention to detail

  • The ideal candidate will also have experience of business combinations
