Our client, a fast growth start-up with a focus on the Tech sectors are looking for a Finance Officer to work closely with their Head of Finance in setting up a finance dept. Due to rapid growth the business are looking to hire someone to come in and run their transactional finance and assist with accounting responsibilities.

This role is suited to someone with experience working within a finance department and looking to work in a rewarding and growing business where they are given the opportunity to learn and grow. You will be afforded a wide range of new responsibilities and the chance to develop into a leadership position in the next 2 years. You will be given the opportunity to work with an experienced finance professional to introduce new processes and procedures in a growing, international firm.

Job Purpose

·       Responsible for the entire contractor pay and bill process

·       First point of contact for contractors to resolve queries and ensure payment on time.

·       Responsible for accurately entering company's financial records in relation to contractor payroll, and record keeping

·       Responsible for credit control and collections

·       Collaborative working relationship with Ops Team & Sales Teams

·       Continuous improvement of processes

Responsibilities

-          Processing a weekly and monthly contractor payroll

-          Timesheet administration

-          Billing clients – raising and sending invoices

-          Credit Control – chasing overdue payments from clients via phone / email

-          Working closely with Ops Team & Sales Teams. – handling queries and helping to onboard them in new assignments

-          Query handling – resolving issues and queries for contractors and clients

-          Process improvement – continuous development of internal systems and processes

-          Ad hoc reporting

-          General contractor admin

-          Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing

-          Good communication and interpersonal skills

-          Willingness to use initiative and problem solve

-          Ability to work to deadlines

-          Strong team working ethic

-          Competent in using Excel

-          Recruitment sector experience is desirable
