We are working with a high growth recruitment company specialising in the tech and telecommunications sector who have worked with leading companies across 140+ countries around the world, and are now looking to hire a credit controller to join their finance team in their Epsom offices.
This role is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and interactive company, handling the credit control process whilst being a key player in their wider business functions on a global scale.
The main focus of the role is to maintain and review credit status of all clients with particular regard to their outstanding sales ledger balance and future business potential. Specifically this will include (but not be limited to):
Proactive management of the cash collection process to ensure outstanding debtors are kept to a minimum.
Ensure payments are received within the clients agreed payment terms.
Check invoices for accuracy and ensure payments are made to the correct bank account.
Allocating cash receipts and raising ad-hoc credit notes as required.
Ensure all debtor queries are identified as early as possible (through chasing of all debt including current invoices) and that these issues are resolved in a prompt and effective manner.
Update and report bi-weekly to the Credit Control Manager the current status of all debtor accounts.
Liaise with account managers and managerial staff where collection issues exist and look to resolve with appropriate solution
Ensure regular contact made with all customer.
Ensure client files are updated on a daily basis
Carry out reconciliation of accounts
Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Credit checking all new clients
Ensuring adequate limits are in place with debt insurers
To assist the Credit Manager with any duties that maybe required within the department
Credit Control experience essential (including chasing payment, invoicing, cash allocation, etc)
Experience of international debt chasing
Experience working within a multi-entity business on a global scale
Experience of tax withholding (within UK and worldwide)
Experience in working with multiple currencies (preferably EUR, USD, SAR, AED, ZAR)
Excel skills to an intermediate level an advantage
Experience of accounting systems
Excellent communications skills
Team player (including with senior stakeholders)
Organised and methodical
Able to prioritise and work to strict monthly targets
