They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team to manage the whole sales ledger for their global group of companies. This Accounts Assistant would be provided with a clear progression path within a supportive company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To work alongside the global Project Management Team, ensuring Invoices are issued weekly per project timelines with 100% accuracy

  • Posting receipts and allocating receipts to customers’ account in all entities.

  • Updating projects status CRM in line with project invoicing.

  • Resolving outstanding balance by strong credit control, dealing with customer queries, and reconciling customer accounts.

  • Identify and circulate any billing issues with the key stakeholders.

  • Attending PM meeting to review projects and advise on potential invoicing targets and any other issues.

  • Supporting Finance Manager with reporting/ ad-hoc requests.

  • Assisting with Audit requirements.

  • Ensuring that all financial records are in line with company standards within a paperless office

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Preferably studying AAT or any beginner’s level of accountancy.

  • Experience of working in an Accounts Receivable role (or similar).

  • Excellent social skills including the ability work build great relationships with people within Finance and in other functions and locations.

  • Self-disciplined with experience of maintaining accurate documentation and following procedures.

  • Effective and efficient skills in using the Sage accounting software.

  • Complete knowledge of UK VAT.

  • Strong credit control skills.

  • Experience in managing multi-currency billings and payment.

  • Experience of performing bank reconciliation.
