London - Hybrid Working

£30-£32k

Our client is one of the UK’s and Europe’s leading names in technology and business change and transformation recruitment, and are currently undergoing an international expansion taking their expertise to the US. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team who has experience working within a finance department and looking to work in a rewarding and growing business where they are given the opportunity to learn and grow.

This role will provide you with a breadth of responsibility to allow you to illustrate your previous experience. They are looking for a punchy and bright individual who demonstrates exceptional finance talent, but is also able to collaborate with colleagues in all parts of the business. Key Responsibilities:

·       Ensure debts are paid in a timely manner across multiple ledgers

·       Contractor Payroll

·       Bank reconciliations

·       Process contractor timesheets

·       Client billing responsibilities

·       Meet cash & debtor day targets

·       Chase debts by telephone & email

·       Monitor and maintain customer ledger notes on system

·       Regular meetings with company stakeholders to ensure debts are managed as necessary

·       Account reconciliations and query resolution

·       Handle disputes and resolve within credit terms

·       Post payments to accounts and allocate

·       Ensure weekly and monthly reporting and processing deadlines are met

·       Raising contractor and permanent placement invoices in line with compliance guidelines

 

Skills required:

·       Minimum 2-3 years’ experience of working credit control / receivables within a contractor driven recruitment business

·       Experience of working in a fast growth SME

·       High standard of accuracy & attention to detail

·       Good communication skills

·       Ability to deal with bright consultants effectively

·       Ability to recognise risk and escalate accordingly

·       Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve queries using own initiative

·       Experience using Excel to a good standard
