Job Description

A growing recruitment business based in Bromley are looking for a Payroll & Billing Manager to join their finance team on an interim basis.

This role will suit an experienced payroll professional with strong relationship building skills, and an interest in improving internal processes. You will be responsible for leading a small team & remaining hands on in terms of process improvement. The bulk of the role will be offering coaching and support to a new, and slightly inexperienced team. Passing on technical knowledge, and handling escalations.

Responsibilities:

  • Running weekly payroll for a high volume of contractors
  • Collating all weekly timesheets
  • Running detailed checks on each timesheet to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Excellent problem solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Preparing weekly and monthly client invoices to agreed deadlines including onward billing of accommodation and travel costs
  • Cross checking invoice back up documents
  • Tracking and following special client instructions
  • Ensuring compliance to agreed controls and measures
  • Responding to billing queries within agreed SLA
  • Reporting on performance and efficiency within the team
  • Tracking and following special client instructions
  • Managing / Building client relationships
  • Troubleshooting
  • Improving / Streamlining processes
