Job Description

Do you have excellent experience in relationship management and business development? Do you have a genuine interest in the LGBT and ethnic minority network? 

My client is a membership organisation championing inclusion in business and are looking for a forward-thinking Membership Manager who has a genuine interest in LGBT, ethnic minority and gender diversity. Working closely with Account Managers, the Managing Director and CEO, the ideal Membership Manager will manage relationships with existing members to deliver the best value and strengthen engagement. As a Membership Manager, you will have excellent business development management experience. This is an excellent opportunity for the Membership Manager to raise awareness, drive sponsorship opportunities and identify collaborative opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate clients and ensure full client engagement across their ethnic minority networks and network activities
  • Build strong personal relationships with members and prospective members
  • Track engagement and impact metrics and undertake regular reporting - internally and on the client side
  • Drive sponsorship opportunities, in conjunction with media partners, across a new and potential client base
  • Work with the marketing team to produce engaging and appropriate communications and collateral to inform a network about membership activities and opportunities
  • Support the delivery of a comprehensive retention and recruitment strategy

Person Specification:

  • Knowledge of inclusion in the workplace across LGBT + rights, ethnic minority, and gender equality
  • Keen interest and passion for inclusive cultures and driving change 
  • Demonstrate experience in relationship management and business development
  • Extensive experience operating in a corporate business environment, working with senior leaders
  • Ability to establish and manage effective member recruitment and retention processes
  • Strong and dynamic communicator skills
  • Strong client and project management skills
