Infrastructure Network Engineer

Would you like to work in a market leading professional service sector organisation that boasts a professional yet vibrant company culture and flexible working options?
 
A top 100 recruitment company, who previously outsourced all their IT requirements, have recently implemented a new loud and CRM system and are looking to in-house all their needs through the creation of an internal technology division. As part of this departmental creation, the company are are seeking a Network Engineer to take responsibility for their infrastructure, troubleshooting any issues that arise and dealing with any third line support requests.
 
A three year plan is in place to significantly grow their IT department which, due to a propensity to promote internally, will provide a wealth of progression opportunities 
 
Responsibilities of the Network Engineer include:
  • Perform maintenance on the companies network and supporting their systems, performing upgrades and configurations where necessary
  • Monitoring the systems to ensure they’re functioning effectively and reliably, troubleshooting system malfunctions to a third line standard
  • participate in internal projects and perform ad hoc tasks where possible, including hardware/software workshops and in depth disaster contingency plans
  • Liaise with external their party vendors and other members of the internal IT team to resolve issues as effectively as possible 
  • Ensure that all technical support from third parties is completed in line with the agreed SLA’s and documented KPIs
 
The ideal Network engineer will:
  • Have at least 2 years experience providing infrastructure support for a global organisation
  • Be a certified Microsoft solutions associate 
  • Possess a clear track record of identifying critical issues and developing strategies to deliver solutions 
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of Cisco, firewall configuration and Microsoft stack
