Job Description

Are you an experienced HR professional looking to step up into an autonomous board level position within an international recruitment group? Do you have a background in creating and implementing an HR strategy within a recruitment / consultancy environment? If yes then this brand new role might be for you.

My client is a multi-brand recruitment business primarily based in Asia, having achieved excellent organic growth over the past decade they are now looking to bring on an experienced human resources professional to join their board of directors to create a global cohese talent and HR function across all 10 international offices. This privately owned and managed business have achieved excellent grown and are looking to invest heavily into their infrastructure to embark on the next few years of growth. The core purpose of the role is to take full ownership and responsibility for the global HR strategy building an excellent learning and development & talent acquisition function and providing optimal HR infrastructure across all brands in all locations.

Key responsibilities include

  • Deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business internationally by build a high performing HR team
  • Manage talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns.
  • Employee relations - manage absence, disciplinary, grievances, redundancies, sickness, providing advice and dealing with issues in a legally compliant, consistent and professional way
  • Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement, benchmarking across territories and industry best practice.
  • Coach managers on performance management issues and processes and providing guidance on development for managers and their teams by managing training needs and implementing appropriate training plans with input from business heads/line managers.
  • Implementation of HR policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all are up to date and in line with current local employment law.
  • Provide information and reports on HR analytics such as staff turnover, equal opportunities, headcount costs etc

Qualifications and experience

  • Extensive experience in a senior HR position, including substantial exposure of running all aspects of an international HR function in a recruitment / staffing business
  • Strong working knowledge of international employment law, and the ability to apply this to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common-sense approach.
  • Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions, with the ability to generate solutions to situations as they arise. Effectively plans ahead, making informed decisions in order to achieve deadlines.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to upholding professional standards, taking responsibility for own actions and supporting senior managers and their agenda. Displays integrity - is sincere in own behaviour and in dealings with others.
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent), educated to degree level, further qualification
  • Willingness to travel internationally
