Job Description

I am working closely with a very well established multi-sector recruitment business with offices around the UK looking to hire an experienced Head of Marketing to lead their high functioning team. Leading a team of 8 you will be reporting into the Marketing Director and in control of creating an sustainable long term marketing strategy to complement the business strategy resulting in profitable growth. My client is a forwarded thinking group of brands providing a range of talent solutions to their clients - innovation and adaptation are cornerstones of their business and steer the direction of the services they offer.

The marketing team you will lead work closely with the national sales teams to support the achievement of targets and business growth goals, as Group Head of Marketing you will be integral to ensuring activity is aligned and targets are met and exceeded.

  • Help define and develop the overall Group Marketing strategy
  • Create, manage, maintain and cultivate sales and marketing campaigns for B2B, B2C and talent attraction/ retention which will enable the Group to exceed our annual revenue goal
  • From a branding prospective continue to develop the look and feel , visual identity and brand guidelines for all online and offline collateral
  • Drive the public relations effort, including engaging and maintaining relationships with the press and connecting the community with viable media opportunities
  • Document communications operating procedures and deadlines; implement and monitor measures to determine the effectiveness of communications programs and design and implement plans to improve results
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure website design and functionality updates continue to develop in line with the group’s service offerings
  • Work with the Social Media Manager to build a cohesive social media strategy in line with the group brand and identity
  • Ensure the group is achieving maximum exposure with clients and prospects by developing an events schedule that elevates all business unit offerings and drives brand awareness
  • Drive lead generation campaigns, working closely with the Campaigns Manager to ensure activity is highly targeted, effective and achieves maximum ROI

Personal Specification

  • A passionate and driven individual with extensive enthusiasm who can motivate, engage and drive others to high performance and implement change
  • Need to be able to lead by example as well as be hands on
  • Very strong communication skills with the ability to write and present ideas clearly and with confidence
  • Strong stakeholder management - able to work with board members and develop junior team members

Experience required

  • 8 + years experience within marketing, at least 2 years experience at marketing manager level or above within a recruitment business
  • Must have experience managing marketing teams

Excellent generalist skill set including:

  • Proven experience of being involved in developing and implementing a multi-channel marketing strategy
  • Strong campaign, project and budget management skills
  • Understanding of core PR skills - client relations, story strategy and program development, media and influencer outreach
  • Experience with SEO/SEM/Marketing Automation/CRM systems
