Job Description

Group Financial Reporting Manager

The company is a multi-hundred-million-pound turnover, highly acquisitive professional services business that last year reinvented their company vision. Whilst still focusing on improving shareholder value and maximising profits, they've decided to start measuring their success by the positive social impact that they have by and re-investing profits back into projects that help to improve society. They have done a number of charitable initiatives, capped executive salaries to improve the remuneration of the more junior people within the business and are designing different projects that they could invest in to support selected causes.

You would be reporting into an extremely impressive and empathetic (and fun!) Group Financial Controller, who we placed into the business 3 years ago. He's also FCA qualified and from an audit background. He's given us extremely strong feedback on what it's like working in the business.

  • Ownership of the holding company (incl. monthly reporting, budgeting, stat reporting, etc.).
  • Oversight over the management of the timetables of the actuals, budgets and forecasts timetable - and reducing the time it takes to complete this process.
  • Managing group loans, account balances, controlling the intercompany agreement and reconciliation process.
  • Take ownership of reviewing the account reconciliation process, and seeing how this could be improved at Group level.
  • Support with producing the subsidiary stat accounts and prep of the Group consolidated stat report.
  • Manage year-end process including liaising with auditors.
  • Oversight of relationship with the tax advisors to ensure the company's information on tax is complete and accurate across the group.
  • Take the lead in facilitating the prep, consolidation and reporting of budgets and forecasts.
  • Work with treasurer at Group level to ensure that the cash flow reporting is complete and accurate.
  • Work closely and business partner with finance leads of each subsidiary.
  • Be a key figure of support to the Group FC and Group FD.
  • Any other duties as deemed reasonable and in line with departmental and Group-wide objectives

Skills & Attributes

  • Preferably from an audit background.
