Group Financial Controller

Are you an ambitious qualified accountant with a passion for developing teams and improving processes? I am partnering with an owner-managed IT recruitment business in Central London as they recruit for a Group Financial Controller. Reporting directly into a highly impressive CFO you will have the autonomy to manage the day-to-day finance team as well as receive the guidance and support to enable you to become a future Finance Director. You will be passionate about developing and nurturing your finance team, a stickler for improving processes and will constantly promote the ideal of finance as a commercial value adder to any forward-thinking business.

Key duties include:

  • Producing the Group Management Accounts
  • Developing, mentoring and supervising the finance team
  • Overall responsibility for financial controls and compliance as well as client and candidate compliance (IR35)
  • Statutory reporting
  • Producing year-end audit packs, statutory accounts, and corporate tax returns
  • Building relationships across the senior leadership team
  • Managing external relationships including CID facility with the bank and associated reporting

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a member of a professional accountancy body (CIMA, ACCA)
  • Have experience mentoring and developing finance teams
  • Have demonstrable experience of continuous process improvement
