The role

We are looking to hire an experienced Accountant to provide support to the Financial Controller. Working closely with stakeholders, this role will give the chance to gain good insight into the company revenues, and carries a large amount of responsibility.

You will be a bright individual and be able to fit into the friendly finance team, confident and enjoy working in a vibrant office space. The ideal candidate will be studying or qualified ACCA or CIMA, with 2-3 years’ experience in accounts. You will be hard-working with great attention to detail and enjoy communicating financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

       Take ownership of all revenue accounting the temporary, permanent and project sides of the business, in all territories the company operates in.

       Management of key stakeholder relationships – partnering to report and improve processes

       Managing ID bank accounts, reconciliations, financing availability and draw downs.

       Continuing process improvements and system implementations to maximise efficiency.

       Reconciling revenue with team heads to ensure completeness and accuracy. Working with team heads for them to understand the revenue streams in their departments.

       Managing the whole contractor process, from timesheets to contractor payments.

       Raising all sales invoices, managing contractor accruals and accrued and deferred revenue, where necessary.

       Dealing with inbound queries from clients and contractors, following up and resolving problems to ensure a high level of customer service and system accuracy.

       Calculating contractor commissions, and sharing accurate, transparent data to demonstrate workings.

       VAT returns for the UK and overseas offices.

       Assisting with Audit process.

       Various finance admin roles where necessary including maintenance of sales ledger

Key skills

       Experience producing accounts to Trial Balance, Debtors / Creditors processing and control including Bank Reconciliations - Essential

       A superb communicator - excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all staff members

       Computer literate, with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, being able to present data to non-finance individuals

       Mindset for continuous process improvement

       Experience within an SME is desirable

       Experience dealing with international entities & multiple currencies is desirable
