Compliance Manager 

Are you an ambitious and proactive Compliance manager with experience within the recruitment sector seeking your next exciting opportunity?

My client is a fast-growing, award-winning global recruitment company with 10 offices across the world.

If you don’t mind rolling your sleeves up and getting things done, then this could be the role for you! You will initially work with the sales team on placement compliance, the role will then expand into all areas of compliance including industry legislation, ISO standards, working with 3rd party vendors, and risk management. Over time it is expected that you will recruit and develop your own team as the business expands further.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales teams in reviewing and advising on placement compliance across all area in which the business operates
  • Produce placement guides for sales to work from
  • Provide training to the sales teams on compliance and legislation equipping them to advise candidates and clients when needed
  • Liaise with clients & candidates on compliance matters when required
  • Define & document policies and processes for all compliance
  • Regularly review compliance processes and implement adjustments when required
  • Develop compliance infrastructure and policies within the business.
  • Develop and maintain risk-management procedures.
  • Manage the Group’s Umbrella Preferred Supplier Lists.
  • Work with 3rd parties to ensure compliance is adhered to
  • Manage internal compliance audits, analysing data and issuing reports.
  • Monitor, advise, and report on industry compliance legislation and regulations e.g. GDPR, IR35, Conduct Regulations and Discrimination, Agency Worker Regulations etc

  • Work closely with Legal team on compliance as and when required
  • Work with IT / MI team to develop reports and streamline processes


Person Specification:

  • Enthusiastic, proactive attitude, with a flexible approach and the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good attention to detail, process-driven and methodical.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work on more than one task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact, discretion, and experience of liaising with representatives from external third parties
  • Commercial acumen.


Essential Criteria:

  • Degree-level qualification (Legal degree preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working compliance in a busy recruitment environment
  • Experience working across European and Global markets
  • Experience working with Directors / Senior Level management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel to regional offices
