Job Description

The Role

A multi-hundred-million-pound turnover, private equity backed recruitment group is looking for a Financial Controller to have complete ownership and be the number one finance professional within their largest division, which is a nearly £100 million turnover entity.

This is an ideal role for a candidate who wants to move into a largely strategic and commercial role, in which your focus would be business partnering with the COO to support, spearhead and envision change and growth within the business. The Financial Controller will give advice to the senior management team on critical operational decisions and collaborate with the COO on multi-million pound projects nationally.

The business is rapidly evolving and growing with huge investments and a lot of ideas. It is an ideal environment for someone who wants an ambitious setting to be able to get involved in the operational, strategic side of the business.

Requirements

Ideal:

  • Private equity experience
  • Recruitment sector experience
  • Experience within a group
  • ACA/ACCA/ICAEW/ACMA/CIMA qualified

Necessary:

  • Experience within a similar sized business
  • Experience within a business partnering-focused role, getting involved in:

o Assessing, altering and implementing bonus schemes

o Reviewing productivity measures within a business

o Providing financial and commercial analysis to senior members of an organisation

o Giving advice on opening up new offices, or opening into new geographies, or opening a new division, assessing KPIs.
