Business Intelligence Developer

Would you like to work for a market-leading professional service organisation? Do you seek a mature and professional working environment?

My client, a top 100 recruitment company, has previously outsourced their IT requirements but are looking to bring tech talent in-house and create their own technology division. As part of this divisional creation, they are looking for a BI Developer to introduce technological processes company-wide. With my client only recently implementing a cloud system, there is no historically incorrect or inefficient BI that needs altering. Instead, this represents an opportunity for you to help create a company’s Business Intelligence from the ground up.

The organisation also have plans in place to significantly grow their technology division over the next 3 years, meaning the progression potential for anyone who enters the organisation at this level are unparalleled.

The key responsibilities of the BI Developer include:

  • Developing business solutions and designing data structures to aide reporting requirements
  • Improving processes by developing the workflow integration across the business application stack
  • Write codes from scratch that follow the client's patterns and practices
  • Analysis in order to integrate data into developed applications
  • Identify any issues and clearly communicate their underlying causes
  • Writing ad hoc SQL scripts where necessary to deal with BI queries

The ideal BI Developer will have:

  • Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Stack
  • Transactional data modeling, data-centric design, and SQL scripting
  • Clear and demonstratable data skills such as profiling, mapping and data warehousing
  • A thorough understanding of report generation and data manipulation
