Assistant Management Accountant

Central London

Hybrid Working

Our clients is a well-established life-science and pharmaceuticals recruitment company. They are looking for a budding individual to joining their team as an Assistant Management Accountant. They are offering this person the opportunity to join a fast growth International Finance Team. This is a hands-on role which will allow you to run the end-to-end financial and management accounting responsibilities for a number of international entities. In this role you will be reporting into a International Finance Manager and working alongside another Assistant Management Accountant.

Key responsibilities:

·       Management accounting & reporting

·       In liaison with the International Finance Manager, Global Head of Finance and Life Sciences Finance Director preparing management accounts and forecasting

·       Updating group Cashflow daily as well as weekly and monthly forecasting

·       Sales and purchase invoice processing

·       Dealing with finance queries in conjunction with other team members

·       Maintaining and reconciling bank accounts

·       Preparing VAT returns

·       Balance sheet reconciliations

·       Preparing routine accounting journals and day to day financial transactions such as payroll journals, accruals, and prepayments

·       Assisting with audit preparation and audit queries

·       Occasional updating of process manuals and other ad hoc duties

 

Required Experience:

·       Part qualified ACCA or equivalent

·       3 - 4years’ experience in a finance function

·       Experience in the recruitment industry

·       Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively to achieve deadlines and manage expectations

·       Attention to detail

·       Good written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills and initiative within the scope of the role

·       Proficient in Excel, notably VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
