Operating in 8 niche areas, an international, boutique executive search firm are looking for an accounts assistant to join them at an exciting time in the business. They take a unique approach to the way in which they find and place candidates and due to this, they have been highly successful with a large range of companies from small to large. They have modern offices in an attractive part of London and also have a very high score on Glassdoor. They have a professional environment but are team-focused and this is a company where you will consistently receive support from all levels of the team, allowing exposure to a wide range of roles in the finance function. They enjoy developing their team and are offering to provide you with a great mentor who can guide you through studying your AAT.

 

The role

  • Checking purchase invoices for authorisation
  • Coding invoices and entering into Xero Accounting system
  • Communicating with suppliers to prepare the supplier payment schedule
  • Assisting with month-end procedures
  • Assisting with reporting and analysis of costs
  • Manage the process for 30 UK cards and 10 USA cards, downloading transactions and communicating with card holders
  • Recording transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Reconciling the credit card balances between Xero and the bank
  • Manage the expenses process for all staff
  • Ad hoc reporting and admin tasks as required
  • Recharging expenses to clients from Invoices, Credit cards, expenses.

 

What you need:

  • A can-do attitude in a collaborative environment
  • Basic bookkeeping and basic VAT knowledge (at least 6 months’ experience)
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail
