Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to work with a rapidly growing recruitment business as part of their finance team supporting the entire business. They're hiring for an Accounts Administrator to oversee various areas including managing the sales and purchase ledgers, payroll and credit control.
This role is based in Bristol City Centre and offers a very flexible hybrid working model following training. The company have a relaxed, sociable culture and are eager for this role to progress into a more senior position as the company continue to grow.
Experience in a similar finance administrator role would be advantageous, particularly within another recruitment firm and/or experience handling contractor payroll.
You will be keen to deal with all areas of finance in a thriving business, confident ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, with an eye on making sure systems and workflows are fit for purpose as the business develops.
Duties
Receivables and Payables - raising invoices and bills for permanent and contract hires, ensuring our Accountancy Software (Xero) is up to date for all transactions across the operational accounts
Payroll - work with external provider to ensure pay run is correct and on time each month
Support the VAT return - by working with our Company Directors to ensure completeness
Credit control - ensure timely settlement from clients, chase outstanding payments, negotiate problem debts where necessary
Support production of monthly P&L and reconciliation of external ledgers when required
Resolve queries from Directors, sales teams, clients, and external partners - typically regarding payroll and client invoicing, contractor and consultant billings

Skills - desirable
AAT qualified (training support will also be funded for the successful person)
Use of Xero software system
Experience using InTime software system
Experience in recruitment or other similar service sector company
Experience in workflow modification and improvement - updating existing spreadsheets or building new ones to better carry out existing tasks
